This is already available for Big Tables.
From what I’ve been told, it’s pretty unlikely that it will be made available for regular tables. At least not any time soon.
Any reason?
Seems like a glaring feature gap…
The way it’s been explained to me, the architecture of the original native tables doesn’t allow it without significant re-engineering effort. And that’s essentially what Big Tables are.
Interesting.
So, effectively, the only way to replicate the search function would be to get all rows and then work with the array?
Yes, I’m afraid so.
Gotcha.
Since I have you here, would you know any magic way on how/where to get Glide tables column IDs if you don’t have access to Glide API but have access to Make?
If you do a single Get Row/Get Rows call using the Make integration, you’ll see the native column names in the output bundle.
Amazing - thank you
Hey @NoCodeAndy - is this dead on arrival? If so, I’ll delete the request.
I think @Darren_Murphy nailed it re: Big Tables paving the way for this.
Future state, I think, is Glide Tables and Big Tables coming together. I don’t have a timeline or anything on that, but you’ll see it in the work we’ve done on bringing GBT to feature parity.
We’ll keep this thread open for posterity though.
