I just wanted to say that the automatic logout after a period of inactivity is a FANTASTIC feature, and I am super happy to see it included (and working!) in the preview features. Super happy, Glide! =]
Hi, where do you see the auto logout setting in Glide? I can’t find it.
Thanks
Mark
Thanks, found it. Am now testing it.
Have tested. It didn’t do what I wanted. I was hoping for something that would have the same result as the Sign Off option in profile, but automated. It does not appear to work that way. For example, if I have it set to auto log out after 1 hour then after 1 hour of inactivity it does behave as if you are logged out, but then immediately logs you in when you open the browser page for the app. It does not re-ask for your credentials the way the Sign Out option in profile does. That one requires you to resubmit your email and type in the access code which is what I was looking for.
That’s strange, it definitely requires log in for all of the users of my apps.. Maybe escalate with Glide as a bug?
Hey dezwatz, I have a question for you. If glide can automate a logoff after a certain period of inactivity, why can’t they provide a logoff function that does the same thing when activated immediately (say in a button, for example)?
Weird decision to be honest, because it clearly is a thing in the Profile menu. It just doesn’t exist as an action that you can put anywhere.

Too bad they don’t have a specific url, like cloudflare access, that will instantly invalidate the session and send you to whatever url you want.
I don’t know. I guess my question would be what function beyond using the Profile button to log out would you need?
