Formatting numbers in Radial chart

I’ve formatted the numbers in a column but when I use the value in a Radial chart, it still shows up like this, unformatted. Is there any way to fix this?

How are you formatting the number?

CleanShot 2025-05-26 at 06.46.12

It’s working normally on my side.

Interesting! I guess if I use the numbers column type directly it works but this is what I’m doing -

I’m formatting the value using template type because the currency symbol used isn’t generic (user can customise) and most of the numbers are calculated (in this case the rollup column beside).

In the radial chart, I’m just using the template column value

I think that’s the problem you’re facing here, it’s because you’re trying to feed a text into the chart, it parses out only the number to calculate how to display.

Maybe there’s no quick fix, you can try exploring Quickcharts.

Got it, thanks!

Would’ve been nice to be able to do this within Glide itself! All g

I will discuss with the team to see if they can support this.

@clydedz The response from the team is:

“The updated Chart component has similar capabilities, so I’d recommend asking them to submit a feature request for the radial chart that brings in similar functionality.”

Yes, true, the Charts (beta) does display the formatted text but it doesn’t have a pie chart!

I’ll submit 2 feature requests - 1) to add pie chart into Charts (beta) and 2) to make radial charts support formatted text.

Thanks for your help @ThinhDinh
