I want users to be able to use my app without signing in. However, if they do sign in, I want them to be able to save their favorites (and ratings), so if they come back to the apps, they’ll see their favorites and ratings again. Do I need to set this up as ‘public with email’? If I do that, will everyone have to sign in? Or… can users save their favorites somehow without signing in? Thanks for your help on this.

If you have a public app, users will be asked to provide their email and name if they try to favourite something or comment on something.
Edit: that may have changed recently with user-specific columns. Either way, the user’s favourites should be saved in public apps as long as they dont clear their history.
Best experience for favourites will be an email sign in app though.
