Drag and drop to reorder list items

Hello, is there a way for users to drag and drop to reorder list items?

The closest option is to use the Kanban component, but that might not be exactly what you are looking for. Other than that, no, there is no native way to re-sort a list/collection using drag and drop.

Ya…we’ve been asking for this one for a while. Not technically possible at the moment.

Right. I’ve been using Kanban with a single “custom group.” The downside is you have little control over the design of the list items, and you can’t control the width of the column. If Glide allowed this greater control, it would be a perfect option for me. I am waiting for this feature since it is central to my design. Also, I’m looking forward to seeing their version of AI integration.

Hi, this is crucial to what I want to build, so please consider this as a feature to ship soon if possible.

This is a major requirement that should already work. Ordering in general needs to work across tools. Taking a “filter over data” approach is not sound in an application like this where users are restricted by so many variables. The more functionality there is, the more flexible it makes the tech for creating a greater number of outcomes. For example, a primary use case could be CHECKLISTS which if used as a TODO list would definitely benefit from this.
