Discounts for students

Do you have any discounts for students? Or maybe you can provide free pro version for students?:slight_smile:

I don’t think there is one.

A better way compared to asking for free Pro version is introducing Glide to your fellow students using the referring schemes. You will get more rows & edits for your free apps, while it also helps Glide.

Don’t trust them on the education discount. They told me I was approved for the education discount on 5/9/22. On 5/13/22 they charged me $282.17, I figured they must be charging me for the entire year at once, not thrilled but o.k. Then on 6/13/22 they charged me another $249 and bounced the crap out of my checking account.

I should have realised this company was a scam when their approval email for the education discount says, " You will see the regular price when you do the actual upgrade, however, the 90% discount will be applied when the invoice and charge are processed." Sure it will.

The teachers on here promoting this app should be ashamed of themselves for setting up other teachers to be ripped off by this company.

I’m a K-12 Teacher that has the education discount. As you can see from the screenshot, I have Business Level Tier at Starter Level pricing:

I recommend that you reach out to Glide Support (https://glide-help.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new) and let them know of the billing error. I’m positive a support member such as @SantiagoPerez or @George-Glide will assist.

I’m sorry that this happened to you, but please rest assured that Glide (and it’s education / nonprofit discount) is not a scam.

Please, also send us a screenshot of the confirmation email, the name of the team folder that you set up and all the information possible to speed up the process.

As @SantiagoPerez said for issues like this it is best to submit a support ticket so we have all the information needed to resolve it. Based on your email address I have found the billing account and refunded both of those payments. Once you submit the support ticket https://glide-help.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new the issue will be escalated to Engineering to see what would have caused the discount to not be applied in your individual case.

Im finishing highschool this year with IT and I had a vision. I wanted to do a big school project. I wanted to create an equipment database that implemented qr/barcode codes. Basically print out the qr codes, tape them to a given equipment in my school and for example whenever our school’s IT department wanted to check certain info or something about a given electronic they would open the app that I would’ve created, opened a scanner inside the app and after that check the certain electronics properties. Unfortunately I cant create the project because the barcode scanner is a paid feature.

Your school’s IT department has a budget for such things if they are actually needed. You could also build this on a trial if it’s just a project or proof of concept.
