Custom AI Component

After entering the chat components, is there away to edit or delete each chat line?

I believe you can add a delete action to the collection.

How?

If you select the chat collection component in the lower left panel in the builder, then select the actions on the right hand panel, you can add a delete action to the collection.

But…reading your thread title now…what does this have to do with the custom AI component? Are you using custom AI, or are you using a chat collection? Maybe I’m completely misunderstanding your question.

chat component

This is the chat component in the AI component.
I would like to be able to edit or delete it without having to start over all the time

Ah, you lost me by calling it a chat component. I would call it the chat within the AI component.

You should be able to give it additional commands if you want to modify how the component works, or if you want to delete a command, you can use the trash icon to delete the last comment in the chat.

I don’t have the trash can on the right on my screen

Also, my toggle dropdown button does not work for the AI component

Can’t speak for the ‘Toggle Dropdown’, and the more I play, I no longer see the trash icon.

I think your best best is to keep having a conversation with the chat to make further modifications.

The AI works great until you want to edit or delete something then you have to start over again. I have made some interactive table that work fantastic.

Thank you for your response.

You can’t just say “Remove X”, or “Modify Y to do Z”?

I don’t think the point of the chat is to get it correct in one shot. It’s designed so you can have a continuous conversation. You can even ask it to undo the last change, or start over, or even delete everything. Use it like you are standing over a colleague’s shoulder, trying to explain to them how you want something to work. They make changes and then you follow up with what you like and do not like, and how certain things should be modified. Talk to it like a human.

Anytime I’ve used AI to write code, it’s usually a back and forth conversation until I get a result I like. For example, I typed in your message. Then I said, make the header red. Then I said make the header rounded. Then I said let’s start over. It followed my directions every time for the most oart.
