Hi friends,

Here my new attempt to create a dynamic game called Quiniela which is a popular football prediction game where players forecast the outcomes of N matches by choosing a team win and the exact score of all matches in the tournament.

The Quiniela is also known in other countries as Football Pools, Totocalcio, Loto Foot or just Toto and the rules are almost the same if we talk about football (or soccer in USA).

This FIFA Club World Cup 2025 is the 21st but first edition of the expanded FIFA Club World Cup with 63 matches and 32 teams from 5 continents to be played in the USA from June 14 to July 13, 2025.

My Quiniela APP has 5 simple rules to gain points:

  1. Predicting the match winner gives you 3 points
  2. Predicting the match exact score gives you 2 additional points
  3. Predicting the Champion team/club of tournament gives 15 points
  4. Predicting the Runner-up club of the tournament gives 15 points
  5. The Quiniela winner will be the player with the most collecting points

Of course, the Quiniela APP maintains a real-time board for each football club (goals, matches, points, etc.), a daily prediction table for each match to know the predictions of all the players and avoid “bad thoughts” against the administrator (It’s me :wink:)

And as a mandatory tool, we have the Top 10 Player Ranking to see and review all their results and predictions and avoid, again, bad words and thoughts against the administrator.

So far, 26 matches has been played (26/63) in 7 days and the Administrador player (It’s me) has the #1 position without any trick :innocent:. Everything is a fair game here using Glide as the web platform.

Well, just take a look at how a 16 friend group enjoy the FIFA Club World Cup daily using an APP developed with Glide with a free plan:

This version of APP is in Spanish but I think you will understand 70-80% of what APP is showing and calculating when we talk about a football tournament. For the next version of a FIFA tournament, I will create the international version to enjoy it better.

The app is great and mostly clear even without knowing Spanish. FYI the numbers in the PTOS column are hard to read due to dark blue on a dark background.

Thanks for your feedback @Eric_Penn!

The original design uses the white as background color and I haven’t noticed this detail.

I will try to fix it if I can (I can’t use CSS in a free plan :upside_down_face:)
