I have been notified that Google is phasing out Gemini 2.0. Several of my applications rely heavily on AI with large context, and changes in model versions can significantly impact usage costs. For this reason, I respectfully request that Glide make additional AI models available and update existing models more frequently not only for availability (for example, I was advised to move from 2.0 to 2.5 pro which are models that behaves differently), but also to ensure cost efficiency.
Given the rapid pace of AI development, with Gemini 3 having been available for some time, timely adoption of newer models is increasingly important. Delays in model updates may reduce our ability to retain customers and, in turn, affect our continued use of Glide to develop and scale applications.
I would appreciate Glide’s consideration in refreshing AI models more proactively and offering alternative model options where possible.
