Help Needed: Generating Unique Client and Employee IDs with Updated Glide Features

Hi everyone,

I’ve been struggling since Thursday to set up automatic Client and Employee ID generation in Glide. I’ve tried several suggestions from older community posts and tutorials, but a lot of the info is now outdated due to recent updates in Glide’s features.

Here’s what I need:

• When a client request is submitted, I want an ID like BND-CL-1001, BND-CL-1002, etc.
• When an employee application is submitted, I want an ID like BND-EL-1001, BND-EL-1002, etc.
• Ideally, these IDs should generate automatically when a form is submitted, with the number incrementing by 1 each time.

If anyone could walk me through the current, best-practice way to do this in the latest version of Glide (step by step), I’d really appreciate it. I’m feeling stuck and would love some guidance.
