Using a text entry search box type component tied to a user specific text column is very buggy for us.
If typed fast it freaks out, but if typed slowly itās fine.

Also seems padding is still applied when the Ai Component is inside a container resulting in the full width of the container not being used.
Weāve tried to overcome this with prompts but doesnāt work.
We have fixes for typing speed and collection padding coming!
Canāt get to the formā¦ asks me to sign in?? Try to sign in and doesnāt workā¦ gave up after 30 seconds. If you want quick feedback pls make it easy.
I was going to provide feedback that I tried adding the component to a couple of Apps when it first came out but they were so buggy I havenāt tried again seriously for a few weeks. I just tried updating the one I made and it breaks so easily. Quite honestly Iām getting increasingly wary of AI add-ins and this from someone that uses AI daily to help with various tasks, from building PowerBi reports to summarizing meetings and building presentations.
Biggest turn off is the load time when used on pagesā¦ seems to have strange pre-load messages and I worry my users will see thoseā¦ followed by unreliable, inconsistent results - again I worry whatever I make will morph into something different for other users. Also, tbh my use cases have just been gimmicks. As a business user Iām waiting patiently to hear news that Glide is launching a professional ālibrary of Chart templatesā (a la Excel or PowerBI) or a way for AI to run reliable statistical analysis and reporting (currently not true).
Super conflicted since this will come off ungrateful for launching something that is cool and innovativeā¦ I guess I will let the early adopters trail blaze.
This.

It would be kind of sick if we could edit our custom components without having to tweak via prompt. If we could edit parts of the code snippet that is generated that would be
Your āeditā part is exactly how I worked with the Code component and why I loved it. Then it broke down
Thank you for the feedback to the survey so far. If you havenāt yet filled that out please do!
Even if youāve given the feedback in the thread, if the feedback is relevant to the current state of component, be sure to add it to the survey.
Keep the responses coming!
Simon: Sorry the form was trouble for you, not sure what happened there. Anyway, we are grateful for the thoughtful feedback. Thank you!
Looks great @david What prompt did you use for the tabs?
Gotta be able to save these custom components at some stage once the reliability is up to scratch. I guess that would lead to a components library that could be personal or shared between users also.
Would hate to be able to create a great component and then not be able to replicate/share with other projects in the future.
Looks like I couldnāt use the data from a relation table either for the component which was a bit of a blocker for me on some pages.
No need to ask these days, lolā¦ just take a screenshot of the part you are interested in and upload it and let the ai do its thing
Thanks @Luther Iāll give it a go. Itās so cool to be able to do this.
I took a screenshot and started the conversation. Its difficult to get the exact same for me so i had to play around a bit.
Nice! How did you allocate actions to each tab? I can see actions for the entire module, but unsure how to do it for a single tab.
That part i have not figured out yet. I am sure someone else will be able to assist. I just started playing with this feature. Sorryā¦
