Good day. So yesterday my client started booking kids on the buses for the upcoming weekend. I notices that a specific school Boland LS) is not showing on the pickup schedule - but it does on the drop-off schedule.
Here is last week’s pickup schedule, showing Boland LS:
This is this weekend’s records for pickup:
And the pickup schedule not showing it:
Notice that it still counts 3 children at the top: PG from Boland LS counted but excluding Maritz that has laundry since he is not on the bus himself.
The 2 pickups from Boland LS shows at their bus stop,
After playing aound I found that:
1.If I move this pickup from route P (left column in grid) to route S, it works.
You’ll see the route they are on in the screen title.

If I put the kids in another school, the show there.

If I change the school name to just Boland, it works.
… but Boland LS works in the other route.
Setup:

The schedule screen has a custom container for every pickup and drop-off - thus 2 for each day Fri or Sun) and for each route (P or S).

Once the first container was working, I duplicated it for each school, bus stop and route, changing only the sequence number (last visible column in the grid) or the route code (1st column). So the filters are all the same for the same screen.

The Booking screen contains a Form container with the child/ren name(s) as an inline choice, from the ChildNames relation in the user profile. Parent has to click on it and it is written to the Trips table.

An inline Choice for selecting child on bus home and/or to school.

An inline Choice for selecting laundry only on bus home and/or to school.

Additional options for adding friends or changing school closing times etc.

The Trips table contains these columns:
a) Child’s name
b) Modified names Home or School - IFE columns that add se wasgoed if laundry was selected in the booking screen
c) Template columns that compiles the actual name entry for the schedule - adding the + for friends and the modified name above, so he entry will look lke Mienke +2 or Maritz se wasgoed
d) ITE columns that writes different versions of the “On bus” choices from the booking screen, for use in different filters for the schedules.
e) A zillion other columns for calculating school or hostel for pickup (if hostel is in another part of town), formatting dates and times, counting entries etc. -
The submit workflow write the contents of calculated columns to editable columns that can be changed in the data grid above, as well as the user and date/time of entry.
To summarize:
Changing the school name from Boland LS to Boland fixes the problem.
Changing the route fixes the problem, even if the school name is still Boland LS
A related problem may be that, if I change the IFE formula in 7d) above from e.g. “Huis toe” to “Wasgoed huis toe”, for the column that is used as the Custom collection filter, and there are 2 or more laundry pickups at that school, the Custom collection for that school is duplicated. ANY entry except Huis toe duplicates the collection.
In both cases a longer verson of the contents of a column affects the display of the whole collection - in opposite ways.
