Check for existing data

Hi there,

I’m pretty new to Glide. I’ve got a pretty sophisticated app so far, mostly for tracking vehicle details for customers, staff, etc. I was wondering how I would search for data before making a new row?? I have a Vehicles tab where staff can add new vehicles and it’s very easy to duplicate vehicles on accident. Is there a way to prevent items/rows from being made if that “plate” exists already?

You need to use a Custom Form.
Make a copy of the template in the below thread, and study how it works.
