This is a simple concept app (copyable), that demonstrates the following techniques: Building custom forms for adding and editing list items (as an alternative to the native forms provided by Glide) Preventing duplicate new entries using User Specific Columns and Relations Enforcing mandatory input items The use of visibility conditions and user specific booleans to control user flow There is nothing particular… You can try this.

in that template which data should I need to copy to complete my duplicate username system? (and what is “things” mentioned there) sorry, because I’m new to glide :frowning:

The template just provides an example of the techniques that can be used. The specific columns that check for duplicates can be found in the Helper table that the form is attached to: [CleanShot 2025-03-06 at 09.15.00@2x] The idea with the template is that you can study it to see how it works, and then apply similar techniques in your own Apps.

duplicate check is mentioned from relthings to duplicate only, isn’t it?

The name that the user enters is used in a relation. If that relation is not empty, then a duplicate is found.
