# Why does Glide use legacy models of OpenAI?

While making an application with OpenAI integration to answer table questions, I noticed that the price per use was higher than I expected. It appears that Glide used davinci which is worse than the recommended gpt-3.5 and 10x times more expensive.

I had the same question, but perhaps it’s due to the need for a model that supports embeddings. So, this is the only option.

However, if this isn’t the case, having the option to choose the model would be better, as it doesn’t work perfectly.

Strange, I could have sworn you could pick the model.
