We have a Glide app used in Michigan (Eastern Time) and are seeing unexpected behavior with a **“Today” date filter**.

Our app changes to the next day at approximately **8:00 PM Eastern** , which corresponds to **midnight UTC**.

We cannot find any app setting that tells Glide which time zone to use.

**How does Glide determine the time zone used for “Today”?**

Is there an app-level time zone setting, or does Glide calculate “Today” using UTC?

We simply need **Today to change at midnight Eastern Time, not 8:00 PM Eastern.**

What is the recommended way to accomplish this?

Belated reply.

As far as I know, there isn’t anywhere in the app where you can define the timezone of the app, and I think this makes sense, as timezone really depends on the user, not the app.

When you create a Date column, there is a checkbox indicating to take into account user timezone.

If all of your users are in the same timezone (Michigan) and your app seems to be off by 8 hours, maybe you could create a new time column and create an 8-hour offset?
