# Why are some calendar events greyed out?

Attaching a screenshot, any idea why this is happening? Initially I thought it greys out when I have viewed that event, but not really. There is no pattern to it and looks really weird.

What day was that screenshot taken?  
Do any events span multiple days?

My guess would be that old and expired events are greyed out while active and future events are not.

Ah, yes. They’re multi-day events, that makes sense (not very intuitive ,though). Thanks @Jeff_Hager, at least it’s not a bug and the behaviour is predictable. That’s good enough for me now. 🙂
