# What is the Purpose of "From" field on Gmail Integration Send email?

Hi,

I don’t know if this one is a feature on the Gmail Integration for **Send Email**.

But, the **FROM** field is somehow can’t apply any email (or set a general email) UNLESS, it will integrate the Gmail using an **logged-in** email that can be a general email.

I am just a bit curious about this field and yet, cannot add any data here.

Scenario:  
Set-up data  
From (which is the person is trying to send an email)  
To (dedicated email to the person)  
Subject, Body and Body HTML are okay.

Then, when I submit (or click) a button and check the email of that **To** person, the sender is incorrect. It was my email. Tried the format it like `Name <email>` because it return as an error that needed to follow the format.

Tried, Tested and still my email was still there as the sender.

That is not a bug, I have explained it in your previous thread.

You can’t expect to send an email from an address you did not connect to Glide (a.k.a “authenticated”). If that’s a possibility, you can send as anyone, and that will be a big security issue.
