# Users find calendar difficult to navigate

My users have been complaining about the difficulty to navigate/use the calendar component, especially when choosing a date e.g. dob.

Users have been using the arrow buttons to navigate to the appropriate, totally disregarding the year selection function.

Is there a way to default to the device calendar or find a better component which is more intuitive.

oh, wow - I’d never even noticed the year selection until I read this. Maybe just adding some “arrows” to make it more obvious would be enough?

Yeah, I had to pull it from my app because too many of my users could not figure it out.
