# User email virtual address (User's View)

I understand that with free apps we cannot see user emails. But shouldn’t users be able to see their own emails instead of the virtual tab?

if a user signs up to my app. In the top left corner they can see their email under their photo & name.

but if I create a custom profile tab from the users sheet. how can i let the user see his own email

if i use email column or user/email both of them are returning the virtual address

You would have to capture the user email separately and have them enter it again.
