# Use glide Action icons in other areas of my app

Looked all the interwebs and the forum for how to use glide icons in my app.

For example - I would like to use the same icon that I’m using for a checkbox in a button but use this as a table header. I can paste icons from other sources that display fine but I’d prefer to use the icons included in Glide.

Advice appreciated.

So you mean using icons from the actions/buttons icons library in other sections of your app?

I think @Robert_Petitto has been calling for it for several years but at the moment it might not be possible.

Well count me as a plus 1 to Robert. Trying workarounds with flaticons but not having any luck.

It would help glide apps look more consistent to use the same icons in buttons and labels.

Agreed. If we had access to the icons as standalone items or as a dedicated column type (like hero icons) then we’d be able to have more consistent looking apps
