# Updates

Hi,

I just wanted to ask a quick question on updates and what counts towards an update.I have a number field that is connected to 10 math fields, if a user changes the input, will I use 1 update as only one field has been changed by the user or will I use 11 becasue 10 subsequent column values have also changed.

That would be one update, or zero updates, depending on which plan you have and what your data source is.

In general, computed columns do not consume updates. There are a few exceptions, mainly those that are associated with integrations (AI, etc).

Perfect thanks. Everything is in Glide Tables so shouldn’t be anything there.

Yes, unless you are on an Enterprise plan, you won’t be charged for updates to native Glide tables.
