# Unable to remove icon for action texts

**Describe the bug:**  
no “x” appears:

**Expected Behaviour:** like for buttons:

**workaround**  
create a new action text

Hi @Gregory. The ‘x’ should appear when hovering your cursor over the icon in the sidebar. Where in Glide are you experiencing this?

exactly! I hovered over it. (btw: the cursor disappears when making a print screen on my device)
