# Tools to Optimize performance in a GlideApp

Yo Experts

Is there any tools on the horizon to optimize performance? Best practices too?

I moved a number of tables from sheets to Glide (vastly improved interactive performance) but wonder what else is considered a ‘performance hit’ in GlideWorld.

Also - has anyone measured Glide Classic vs Glide App performance on a mobile device (iPhone, Android)

I think my rule is always to use Glide Tables unless the client specifically requests another source where they already have data in there and don’t want to move.

If I have to use Google Sheets, move as much calculation possible to the Glide side using calculated columns.

Always ask the client up front if they need data security to implement row owners/roles. In my cases, end users almost always don’t need to load everything.
