# Synchronize IN-APP FILTER setting with FILTER setting?

Not sure if I’m missing something here.
I have what I think is a pretty standard use-case. On my form I am using a FILTER with OR conditions to, by default, display only the most relevant records. I then added an IN-APP FILTER (on the same column as used in the FILTER) such that the end user can, if necessary, include those (less relevant) records. The problem is that the IN-APP filter does not honor the values selected in the FILTER, as if the two different filter types are acting upon unique columns. Thoughts? Thank you.
