Hi,

We need users to generate a PDF from a screen in our app, but I’m having trouble formatting it correctly using PDFMonkey or Portant (via webhook).

Right now, the PDF is being generated at a small screen size (using the native options in mobile or desktop as ctrl + S), but I need it to be properly formatted to fit a standard PDF page size (A4, Letter, etc.) and display as much information as possible without being restricted by the phone screen dimensions.

Could you please guide me on:

1. How to configure PDFMonkey or Portant to generate a PDF in a proper format (A4, Letter, etc.) instead of using the mobile screen ratio?
2. How to ensure that all relevant information fits properly within the PDF, making use of the full page instead of a small section?
3. Best practices for setting up a responsive PDF template that adapts well to different content lengths?

Any insights or examples would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

In the Settings section of PDFMonkey, you can adjust the values here.

This is more about how you set up the HTML structure and style it with CSS (e.g: the font size, the container size etc.)

What part about the PDF do you want to be responsive? Personally I don’t think it should be. Components in Glide, yes, but not a PDF.
