# Send email with gmail

Hi everyone, I’m trying to send emails with gmail but every time I get this message : Send email: ‘From’ must use the format ‘My Name [email@host.com](mailto:email@host.com)’. I put in exactly the same format but it doesn’t work! Could you please help me ?

i have tried with \< \> and without.
Still occurs.

ok fixed.
I think the Name has to be exactly as it appears in the gmail Display field.

I double checked this and no. I am wrong. It’s still working.
So in conclusion, I don’t know why it was failing, but it’s working now.
any name [email@email.com](mailto:email@email.com) works for me now.

So, `name ` works…
Some of the time. Looks like Gmail maybe is rate limiting email sending.
But when it fails, it fails silently. So no error on Glide side, the email just doesn’t get sent. Somewhat annoying.
