# Scan barcode and QR code directly in Glide into a field in a form

but the barcode scanner doesn’t actually work … [Barcode scanner not working - #4 by Tim\_Gestels](https://community.glideapps.com/t/barcode-scanner-not-working/43314/4). I have pro and unpublished/published my app, but the scanner still doesn’t work. It registers the scan successfully (turns green), but then nothing is read into the field where it is supposed to go. Does anyone know how to help with this?
