# Retrieving images and QR codes from Glide

Why add a Split Text and Single Value column, when a Template column can just aquire it directly and wrap it with any additional text?

Oh yes. I tried that first. For some reason I’ve been having issues where computed columns that read my template columns hasn’t been working. Plus I believe that it was just loading the actual QR code in the template column.

If you’ve had a different experience, let me know.

I don’t know. Worked for me with just a QR Code column and a Template column that refers to it.
