# Question on auto updating Google Sheets

Hi,
I read this FAQ page: [Glide Community](https://community.glideapps.com/u/activate-account/7ab1aba5d1216030092c763567c4c884) about auto updating Google Sheets:
> changes caused by services like Zapier or Integromat—do not cause your app to update (see Background Refresh below
I want to confirm that using [Parabola.io](http://Parabola.io) and replacing the entire Google Sheet would still not cause the app to update?

Most likely not, but I can’t say for sure. At least not immediately, but you can turn on background refresh if you go with a pro account.

First of all, welcome to the community 🙂 The app will update on data changes. Unless you change this in the settings. The same goes for google sheets. So if you edit data in the app it will update. If you edit data on any google sheet tab associated with the app it will update and so will google sheets.

My makes sense. My question is specifically about whether a service like Parabola would cause an update. Based on the FAQ article it shouldn’t cause an update but wanted to confirm as Parabola wasn’t mentioned.

If Parabola doesn’t edit your google sheets then no, you have no worries.

It can add rows and can also replace the entire sheet. Would this be counted as ‘manual’ edit or not?
