# Query JSON just showing an "A"

The data is sensitive so hesitant to post the JSON itself. It works fine in the query JSON column in Glide however in the button it does this: ![Screenshot 2024-08-14 100601](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex002/uploads/glideapps/original/3X/3/7/370c42ec25a00c43f2aab31b28b21c4aaf72be9b.png) .

We’ve found the action to be more reliable in the column however it is not letting us pull any values. Anyone else experience this issue and know how to fix?

I saw this the other day while I was experimenting with some stuff.  
I didn’t spend too much time worrying about it, but I did find a workaround, which was to write the JSON to the same table that I was trying to Query it from. Maybe that will work for you.

Is there a reason why you don’t use it as a column, but as an action?
