# Publishing control

How does publishing work? It seems like there is little control on “pushing” changes in a live app. For example, if you have users and you’re in the middle of creating a new tab, seems like they will see it partially built? Is there documentation about publishing somewhere that I have missed? I did see earlier threads which indicate no control in a live app but wanted to check if anything has changed. Thanks!

The best way to do this right now is use tab visibility. Create a new tab and make it visible to only you. When it’s completed, delete the condition.
Another reason why we should have “clone tab”.

Ah - that’s great. Such an easy work around for a new tab, but yes, if an existing tab is complex, not so easy and a clone function would be great. Or just having publish change control! Thanks!
