# Problems with PostgreSQL connection

Hi,

I am trying to connect to Postgresql server but getting this error message:

An unknown error was encountered when connecting to database: sfon.kz:5432, error: The server does not support SSL.

I checked, the server has sslmode with value prefer. It connects well with PgAdmin.

Anyone faced the same problem?

I would suggest submitting a ticket.
