# Private Users being counted more than once

My private users screen is counting the same user email more than four times

Got it. So I assume it’s increasing your user count higher than expected? It shouldn’t matter, but is that particular user using multiple devices by any chance? I just looked at one of my teams, and I’m observing the same thing. Showing 4 private users when it’s really only 3. I know for a fact though that the particular user that is duplicated in my case uses two devices at the same time, signing into two different apps in my same team.

A user is a unique user attached to an email address. These accounts can then be used to access Glide apps. You can design different user experiences in a variety of ways. [Depending on your plan](https://www.glideapps.com/pricing), your team will have different [usage quotas](https://www.glideapps.com/docs/reference/account/usage#usage-quotas-by-plan) for users, but these can be flexibly increased with [unlimited usage](https://www.glideapps.com/docs/reference/account/usage#unlimited-usage). Users are counted per team, not per app, so the same user logging into multiple apps on the same team will only count once toward usage."

Your quote directly from the documentation doesn’t answer my questions. I’m very familiar with the documentation and how user counts are supposed to work.

I think this is important information to know to help isolate the issue. I can try to escalate to Glide, although the concept of _private_ user counts only applies to legacy teams (which don’t fully have support anymore), so I don’t know if Glide would provide much support or or not. Those counts would reset anyway at the end of your monthly cycle.
