# Passing a Screen Value in A Form through a Collection Item Action

I’ve got a form in Glide pages where I select an item from a dropdown. Then, a collection of items appears related to that dropdown. I would like to pass the screen value from within the form, through a Collection Item Action (Add Row), but am unable to work out how to pass this piece of data through. Advice?

Is your choice component writing a selection to a user specific column?
Can you not use the value in that column?
