I can’t share details but I’ve heard from many people building paid Glide apps for clients. The average mobile app costs over $150k to build, so there’s a huge opportunity here if you can find a client for whom Glide is a good fit! ---

Thanks David, super excited about the potential here. Can’t wait to see your roadmap to understand what is potentially going to be possible. I have a big idea at early stages, be great if we could have an agency plan so I sell apps and white label them when doing a demo - before the customer signs up as a full paying slide customer. Keep up the good work you and the team, gonna be amazing. ---

I also plan to build paid apps using Glide. At least we will ship the MVPs much faster from here and if the feature is packed enough we can continue on this platform. ---

In my opinion, there is a scope for glide in business / data sensitive Apps that are not required to be flashy or real-time. Kind of serious topics - or not for fun topics. I am planning to create and launch one. Will definitely share my progress and experience as things go on. ---

As far as advertisements go, I think once IOS allows us to run push notifications that will be a game changer. Making the app paid is easy to do through email whitelist - Once a user has paid add them to that list. Subscriptions are very easy to do with stripe and since glide happens to partner with stripe, it’s a very lucrative way to make passive income from an app. Just add a buy button ---

@garrettb34 could you talk a bit more about monetizing apps? I could see how selling access by whitelisting emails would be great for access, but I’m not familiar with any purchasing programs. I looked up stripe and saw it handled subscriptions but how would that work with whitelisting? Would there be a column in the spreadsheet for “paid” and automatic update to “not paid” if a user didn’t pay thst month? ---

Yes, Essentially the best way to do that would be to use per user data much like the Instagram app template. The profile tab shows something different to someone who is signed in VS someone who is not signed in. Similar to what you would do with unpaid VS paid For example displaying a lock on your screen saying premium users only and specifying when someone has a login and access that they will be able to see the whole app and that message won’t show!
