Hi,
I just started using Pages Collection Style Table.
I could use more flexibility in allowing the Item Data fields to be simply, "column 1, column 2, column 3, etc. and adding as many as we want/need…or at least more than 3 with labels of Title, Description, Meta. These labels of Title, Description, Meta don’t even make sense to me in this context.

Agreed. I’ve had to turn down a few potential clients because they required a table view that needed 4+ columns.

Please, oh, please combine the Collection Style Table with the new Data Grid component. I long for a display table that allows as many columns as I want without the row numbers or column type header icons.

You can suppress the row markers in the Data Grid. Look for the checkbox in General Options.

Wondering the same thing…is it impossible to display a table/data grid without a column-type icon? I’m new to Glide and seeing if it meets what I need for a project. This may stop the project really quickly if there’s no way to do this.

Hola Darren,
Do you know where the Data Grid’s Row markers checkbox is now, it was removed?
The Data Grid has 2 bugs currently:
1. Its **Row markers checkbox** was removed and I’d like to not use it sometimes.
2. The **Page size** feature does not work, there is no pagination currently. It works as a filter or “Limit number of items”!. Very weird this case.
I have had a kind a bad luck with Glide recently, the bugs are chasing me (but I try to run faster 😉).

I think this is a new version of the Data Grid, so it might be buggy and a little different from the original version. There are some aspects of the original data grid that I preferred, such as smaller fonts and more compact design which is better for mobile devices.
Have you explored the New Table component by any chance? Still getting a feel for the new Data Grid and New Table myself. Haven’t decided what I like yet or what works best for me.

Sure!
But the New Table component has 2 bugs as well 🥴

I jumped from New Table to Data Grid trying to avoid the bugs but I found other new ones.

Do you have the original data grid anywhere in your app? I suppose you could attempt to copy it. Not sure if that would work or not.
Here I have the original Data Grid, The new Data Grid, and New Table. The original data grid is much more concise and cleaner looking in my opinion.

Absolutely agree with this. I don’t like the styling on the new Data Grid at all.

No unfortunately 🤕
It’s a new one from scratch. My goal trying to use a New Table or Data Grid (plan B) is recreated this feature: Use 2 choices vertically to write/bet the score associated with 2 teams in a game.
The Data Grid doesn’t have the Tab/Choice feature of course but I might recreate other visual effects using some Actions for example. The problems are the bugs that chase me so far.
The newer bug with this Data Grid version (bug #3) is that it **crashes** on iPhones with **iOS 15.x.** Any screen using this Data Grid is loaded as empty, nothing is shown.
A headache!
