# Only allow specific user type to post

Is there a way to limit who is able to add a post?

For example, I have a switch in the user profile that when “on” would allow only these users to add items.

The only way right now would be to have items added using a form button instead of the usual “+” icon that gets added when you enable adding. This way, you can control the visibility of the button and restrict adding to certain users.

I agree though about having conditions for adding items the same way edit and delete have conditions. I’ve requested this in the past as well.
