# Number formatting

Hey people, something that would really be cool would be to allow to add formatting to the number, e.g. if over 1000 → 1K, 2K, etc, same with millions, 1M, 2M, etc. When you have very large amounts it would be great to have this option. I know it can be done with an ITE, but it’d be fantastic to have a native option

I think you can do it using an Excel formula in YC as well (faster):

Read how many zeros (000/000000) has your value and then add the “k” or “MM”.
