# No love with maps using AI component

I feel like i must be nuts and missing a simple detail I cant get the AI component builder to do anything with maps. it places a map but will not add a location. I have tried giving it address, lat/long the works and it always does the same thing . NOTHING… Any one tell me what i’m doing wrong? Thanks!

Why do you need an AI component to work with maps? What functionality do you want that the native maps component doesn’t offer?

If you want to have more complex map, you need to work with MapBox. It works really well but you need some time to learn. If it’s simple map you need with gps coordinates then what @ThinhDinh says.  
Here is an example with mapbox and clusters : [https://e-frankreich.glide.page](https://e-frankreich.glide.page). This is done with a single ai component where data are stored in glide.

When i use the native map it is unusable for my use as it zooms so far into one address you cant see anything.

Yeah, native Mapbox can be used for that, but then you have to dive deeper to be able to open a details screen within the map for example.
