Tell me if this is a new feature or if I am just making a blunder - I am aware that the documentation for PostgreSQL says that you are not able to use a SQL table as the users table for your app.

However, I was poking around today and noticed this screen looks different:

 ![Screenshot 2024-05-01 145150](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex002/uploads/glideapps/original/3X/1/1/11851303d554a8c0e7c6405efe9cec80dd67ef07.png)

I chose “all users in table,” chose my PSQL users table there. After making that selection, under Users & Authentication, that table appeared as an option Users Table - Source.

Am I crazy? Is this going to blow up in my face?

mmm, I can replicate this with a Big Table.

But I’m inclined to believe it is a bug. I know when Big Tables were first made available there was a bug that allowed you to select a Big Table as the source of the User Profiles table - but it wouldn’t function as a User Profiles table. That bug was fixed. I think what you may have uncovered here is a related bug.

I’ll see if I can find out.

Thank you! Even though I’m sad now ☹

@Darren_Murphy were you able to find anything definitive on this? Thank you!!

I think I’m going to proceed as if it’s a bug for now.
