# New Comments uses Data Rows?

Are data rows counted in the new comment component in Glide app because as far as I remember, comments were not counted in the data row count in Classic Apps.

Yes. It’s a Comments collection, so it works just like any other collection.

Hmmm. I always thought that this comment section would be similar to how we had in Classic Apps where it will create a table on google sheets which will not be counted towards our row limit.

It’s a trade-off. Old comments component doesn’t let you edit or delete the comment from the production app, which was a big problem for me. I almost always had to settle for a custom comments build, so the new component is a plus.
