# Need help, : Image not rendering from link in Image view

Hi Guys,

I am getting instagram profile URL from a source.

I am trying to Render this in image view or Listing thumbnail view. It’s not loading anything.

**Does glide image view need to have an extension .jpg or .png at the end to render images?**

If yes then how can I overcome this issue so that I can render the image?

I got it to work using [short.io](http://short.io) by shortening the URL
