# Need help calculating length of time

Trying to calculate the length of an event as end time - start time

Result is not correct. Please help

If you change the format of the 2 time columns to show date and time, what do you see?  
Are they both the same date?  
Even though you might set a column to show time only, the full date and time is still stored internally.

It should be y-x in your math column, you have x-y … that’s why result is negative
