# Max Without Rollup

Felt like I was crazy for a moment trying to figure out how to do the maximum number in a column. Building a new app (not a classic app!) and could have sworn I used to be able to do this with Rollup. Realized that only with classic apps could you do a max with a rollup, but not with the new apps.

What is the workaround here? Is there a better way to do it now?

If you don’t have the max option with a rollup, that probably means the source of the rollup is non-numeric.
