# Math calculation

I am trying to build the formula using match calculation but whenever I type the multiplication symbol after I succesfuly type the column name I get an error message - “Around “ion\*”: There’s something missing”.

The error is because your formula is incomplete. You need to finish it - what are you wanting to multiply by?

So write that in the Math column and use replacements to refer to the appropriate columns. You need something like: `Calc * Bedrooms * 24`

And the math column will prompt you to specify replacements for `Calc` & `Bedrooms`
