# 📅 Master Date Formatting in Glide – Fix Date Issues & Build Dynamic Calendars!

Hey Gliders! 👋

Are you **struggling with date formatting, broken relations, or setting up a daily/monthly calendar** in Glide? You’re not alone! Many users, including **Maria Lindquist** , have asked how to extract only the **month and year** from a date—and that’s just the tip of the iceberg when working with dates in Glide.

💡 **Quick Tip:**  
If you need to format a date to display only the **month & year** , use:  
🔹 `MMMM yyyy` → **“February 2024”**  
🔹 `MM/yyyy` → **“02/2024”**

For **relations to work** , both date columns must have the **exact same format**!
