I’m Muhammed Nashwan, the creator of Snapverse — a feature-rich social media app built using Glide. The app includes:

Photo and video posts with likes and comments

Direct messaging between users

Boosted posts (Highlights)

Verified badges and public broadcasts

Profile customization and a polished user interface

In-feed ads, post forwarding, and more

Hi there 😊 As much as I’m excited to see your app grow and improve, I’d like to point out one thing - Glide isn’t good for scalable apps. It’s very nice for building MVPs (Minimum Viable Product), but not for large apps with millions of people using it constantly like the big social networks 😉 You can still build a smaller app with around a few thousand users max, and if you ever want to go even bigger, switch to another platform - but if you want to build a VERY BIG app, you’re looking in the wrong place.

Hi! Thanks a lot for your kind words and helpful feedback! You’re absolutely right — Glide is perfect for quickly building an MVP and testing ideas, but it does have its limits when it comes to scaling up. Right now, I’m using it to get things off the ground and gather early users. Once the user base grows, I plan to shift to a more flexible platform based on how things go — maybe something like Flutterflow if the scale is moderate. Really appreciate your insight!

Great plan 👍 For my app I’ll keep using Glide, but won’t try to grow such a big userbase, just a couple thousand users 😉
