FWIW — I had a fun afternoon project that sought to

1. allow raffle prize winners to select their prizes
2. prevent raffle prize winners to select prizes _until the previous winner selects theirs_
3. eliminate their prize from the list of available prizes
4. send a confirmation email to the winner
5. send an email to the _next winner_ that they are now eligible to select their prize

Hope it inspires!
