# Link QR code to ID element inside Glide app for free!

Hi all, could I scan an external QR code and go to an element ID in my glide app already built FREE?

QR codes are just storing strings underneath. As long as you have a QR code that represents a URL you want the user to go to, it should work.

Not sure what you mean by “element ID” here though, can you elaborate?

If you mean a link to a certain screen/item in the app, you can, yes.
